Palos Fine Arts Scholarship 2015
January 10, 2015

Palos Fine Arts was founded in 1984 to stimulate, promote and present the arts in the Palos area.  By recognizing the importance of the arts in everyone’s life, it was natural to establish a scholarship program. Palos Fine Arts has been awarding scholarships since 1991.  What better way to stimulate the arts than to support young artists or educators as they pursue knowledge in their chosen art form. Palos Fine Arts Donates Sculpture

On October 27th, 2014, Palos Fine Arts presented the Village of Palos Park with a contemporary sculpture in celebration of their 100 Year Anniversary. The sculpture "Red Bird", was created by late Phoenix-based architect Alfred Newman Beadle and now rests on an 800-pound stone near the entrance of the Kaptur Administrative Center. As Palos Park celebrates its centennial, Palos Fine Arts is pleased to make the presentation in honor of the artistic heritage in the village, so rich in history as being a home to artists, musicians, writers and sculptors.

(Mr. Beadle's work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, MoMA exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art and has been widely published in America and Europe.)
